Lea Mulligan
Lea has been a runner since she was 5 years old and has been through the ups and downs of a lifetime as an athlete. She ran cross country through college and completed her first 50K at 16 years old. Since then, she has embraced the competitive nature at the sport and has placed within the top 10 Americans at the prestigious CCC 100K and recently set the SCAR FKT. Her philosophy of running revolves around embracing the joy of the sport, and her primary goal as a coach is to help others to find fulfillment and happiness through the journey in the sport. Lea specializes in helping athletes dream big, finding the joy in running everyday, and chasing belt buckles.
Mike Basuini
Mike is an endurance athlete focused in the running discipline for 18 years in cross-country, track, road, and trail running events. In 2017 he began coaching the XC/T&F teams at Tennessee Wesleyan University and has been leading the program since 2021. His experience with coaching and involvement in the trail running community has opened the door for Mike to help his friends train for various events over the years which has naturally progressed into a training group he calls the “Woodland Creatures.” Mike’s philosophy is rooted in the innate human desire to move efficiently through time and space and to feel a part of the natural world. He is excited to help anyone dive into their love for running and find satisfaction in the strength they have facing any terrain or distance.
